This program is for students who read well but wish to improve their critical thinking and comprehension skills when reading.
This 20-week program explicitly teaches comprehension strategies, not just practice comprehension tests. The following twelve comprehension skills are taught in the program and form the foundation for successful critical thinking skills.

- Finding information
- Identifying the main idea
- Sequencing
- Finding similarities and differences
- Predicting
- Summarising
- Inferring
- Concluding
- Cause and effect
- Fact or opinion
- Point of view and purpose
Students will be challenged and stimulated to help them develop the thinking processes to improve their comprehension and critical thinking abilities.
